Mary Schlegelmilch, MS Ed.

Mary Schlegelmilch joined Cisco’s Education team in 2011.  With her extensive knowledge in distance, blended and online learning, Mary is dedicated to education and implementing technology that will shape the way we teach and learn.    

She has worked in both rural and urban schools as an early childhood educator, and elementary teacher and a middle school science teacher. She has been an elementary school principal, district administrator, and a post-secondary instructor. She has served as president of the Nebraska Digital Learning Association and other board positions for the past 15 years. 

Mary’s recent publications include Digital Media in Teaching and its Added Value and The Digital Revolution in Higher Education: How the Internet of Everything is Changing Everything.  Mary continues to publish blogs pertaining to technology and education. Most recently Mary was awarded the Hurley Private Sector Champion Award by CoSN, for her work in fostering conversations and workshops with district leadership about solutions that enable Secure Hybrid Learning Environments for school districts.  

Dave Douglas
Systems Engineering Manager, Apple Education

Dave Douglas is a Systems Engineering Manager with Apple Education (21+ years). He leads a team of ten customer-facing pre-sales engineers across Utah and ten other Western States. Together, they collaborate with educational technology professionals to ensure Apple platforms are optimally deployed.

Dave earned his BA in Music Education from UCLA in 1999. During his years at UCLA, he discovered how to combine his love of teaching with his passion for empowering individuals with technology. Dave has seen firsthand the impact Apple technology can have on the lives of students and educators. For over a decade, he was the lead Apple engineer for the Los Angeles Unified School District and their fleet of over 130,000 iPads.

In addition, Dave has taught Apple technology to thousands of IT professionals and educators across the US. He’s authored portions of Apple’s official IT certification curriculum and has also been a guest speaker for both MacWorld Conference and Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference.
